Choosing among the best colleges for Computer Science is no longer just about securing a degree. Students and parents also need to understand what the programme costs, how the curriculum translates into practical skills, and whether graduates will be prepared for the work employers expect them to do. These questions matter particularly in technology, where artificial intelligence is changing how software is developed and what companies expect from new engineers.

Polaris School of Technology, based in Bengaluru’s DivyaSree Technopark, takes an industry-oriented approach to undergraduate computing. Its four-year programme combines computer science fundamentals with applied AI, project-based learning and early exposure to professional engineering environments. Rather than treating internships and practical work as additions to an academic degree, Polaris School of Technology makes them central to its learning model.

Here is a closer look at its fees, academics, industry exposure and career prospects, the four factors that matter most when deciding whether it is the right investment.

1. Fees: What Does Polaris School of Technology Cost?

The financial commitment is one of the first things prospective students assess. Polaris School of Technology offers three specialisations, and tuition differs by programme: ₹26.09 lakh for Applied AI Engineering and Product Management and Engineering, and ₹31.09 lakh for Cloud and Big Data Engineering, across eight semesters. Registration and admission charges bring total academic charges to ₹27 lakh for the first two and ₹32 lakh for the third, with hostel, meals and transport additional. It is a substantial investment compared with many other BTech in Computer Science courses, so the cost is best weighed alongside the learning experience.

Fee component

Applied AI Engineering

Product Management and Engineering

Cloud and Big Data Engineering

Tuition across eight semesters

₹26.09 lakh

₹26.09 lakh

₹31.09 lakh

Registration fee

₹10,000

₹10,000

₹10,000

Admission fee

₹81,000

₹81,000

₹81,000

Total academic charges

₹27 lakh

₹27 lakh

₹32 lakh

Application fee

₹1,500

₹1,500

₹1,500

Hostel, meals and transport

Additional

Additional

Additional

Scholarships can bring the amount payable down, and scholarships worth ₹15 crore have been awarded to students for academic excellence. The Mukul Rustagi Scholarship for Excellence offers awards of up to ₹8 lakh, and the Women in Tech Scholarship offers up to ₹5 lakh. Other schemes include the Sourav Ganguly Young Leader in Tech scholarship, the Classplus Techpreneur Scholarship, and merit-based and need-cum-merit waivers.

What the fee buys is a practical learning model, industry access and a route to career opportunities. The sections below look at each.

2. Academics: Computer Science and Engineering Built Around Proof of Work

Polaris School of Technology offers a four-year UG CSE programme with specialisations in Applied AI Engineering, Product Management and Engineering, and Cloud and Big Data Engineering. The degree is offered through Medhavi Skills University, with PST delivering the industry-skilling component. Instead of producing generalists, each track goes deep: the curriculum, mentors, projects and industry exposure are built around the chosen specialisation.

Across all three, the programme emphasises more than 5,000 hours of hands-on coding over four years. This focus on building and deploying systems distinguishes it from programmes where practical work is limited to laboratory exercises or a final-year project. The curriculum is updated annually to reflect changing technology requirements.

For students looking for a computer science in AI, the Applied AI Engineering pathway moves from core engineering concepts into machine learning, deep learning, generative AI, LLM engineering, computer vision, AI infrastructure, MLOps and AI ethics. Projects grow in complexity over four years: programming, web development, mini search engines and open-source contributions in the early years, then machine learning applications and experiment trackers, then RAG-powered chatbots, fine-tuned models and AI agents, and finally production ML systems and an industry immersion capstone. Microsoft is the industry partner, students receive Azure credits for developing and deploying projects, up to $10,000 in AI and computing credits is available, and the Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals credential is within reach.

Product Management and Engineering is built on the idea that engineers should understand how companies are built, not just how software is written. Students study product strategy, system design, UX, experimentation, full-stack development and growth marketing, taught by tech and business faculty. The work is concrete: first-year students have built products such as Nova Accounts, a digital finance ledger with an MVP built in three weeks, Verity, an AI-powered news platform, and Nest Health, an AI health-monitoring and consultation platform. The track comes with Amazon Web Services collaboration, AWS certification and access to an exclusive startup fund of up to ₹1 crore.

Cloud and Big Data Engineering focuses on the infrastructure the world’s digital services run on: cloud architecture, big data, DevOps and distributed systems. Students build data pipelines, cloud deployments and systems designed to process and manage data reliably. The track is delivered with Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services and Microsoft, and includes Google and AWS certification, exclusive Google credits and direct access to the Google team.

Specialisation

Core learning areas

Examples of work

Industry collaboration

Applied AI Engineering

Machine learning, deep learning, GenAI, computer vision, AI ethics and MLOps

RAG chatbots, fine-tuned models, AI agents and production ML systems

Microsoft curriculum partnership, Azure credits and Azure AI Fundamentals credential

Product Management and Engineering

Product strategy, system design, UX, experimentation, full-stack development and growth marketing

Student-built products such as finance ledgers, AI news platforms and health-tech apps

Amazon Web Services collaboration, AWS certification and startup fund of up to ₹1 crore

Cloud and Big Data Engineering

Cloud architecture, big data, DevOps and distributed systems

Data pipelines, cloud deployments and large-scale data systems

Google Cloud, AWS and Microsoft collaboration, Google and AWS certification and Google credits

This structure lets them choose a direction early and progress from core computing to applied specialisation through projects. That specialisation is then tested in the workplace, which is where industry exposure comes in.

Read: Effective Job Search Strategies For Recent Nursing Graduates

3. Industry Exposure: Beyond Guest Lectures and Internships

Industry exposure is a central part of PST’s proposition. Its Bengaluru campus is located inside DivyaSree Technopark, and the programme brings students into contact with practising engineers, technology leaders, CTOs and founders. The 2026 first-year orientation featured engineering leaders from Salesforce, Atlassian, Microsoft and NVIDIA’s ecosystem at HCLTech, giving students a view of the technologies, workflows and professional expectations they will meet in the workplace.

The exposure extends well beyond events. Internships begin in the second year, and projects increase in complexity as students progress through the curriculum. The final-year industry immersion capstone lets students apply their skills to a more substantial problem.

Open-source participation is another important component. Students contribute to software used by developers worldwide, publish their work on GitHub and work with maintainers and mentors, some of whom are engineers at global technology companies. These contributions build a public portfolio that shows their ability to navigate existing codebases, collaborate with others and work against real technical requirements.

Students have secured more than 36 open-source selections, including the Linux Foundation’s LFX Mentorship Program and Google Summer of Code, with contributions to projects such as MIT App Inventor, VLC, the Linux Foundation, Fossology and CC Extractor.

For students exploring the best Computer Science colleges, this kind of exposure connects technical learning with the practices of building, testing and maintaining software.

4. Career Prospects: What Do the Available Outcomes Show?

Polaris School of Technology prepares students for several technology career pathways, depending on their specialisation. Applied AI Engineering aligns with roles involving machine learning, AI application development and AI systems. Product Management and Engineering combines technical understanding with product development, while Cloud and Big Data Engineering focuses on data platforms and cloud infrastructure.

Specialisation

Potential career pathways

Applied AI Engineering

AI engineer, software development engineer, applied AI researcher, ML platform engineer

Product Management and Engineering

Product manager, product engineer, tech lead, startup founder

Cloud and Big Data Engineering

Cloud architect, data engineer, platform engineer, solutions architect

Students are already building careers while they study. They have completed international internships, contributed to projects across multiple countries and founded technology ventures. The highest reported monthly stipend is ₹2 lakh, the average stipend is ₹50,000 per month, and total student earnings exceed ₹1 crore.

For those comparing the best colleges for computer science, PST’s emphasis on projects, open source and early internships gives students several routes to build evidence of their abilities throughout the degree.

Conclusion: Is Polaris School of Technology the Right Fit?

Polaris School of Technology offers a distinct approach to engineering education, with applied AI, sustained coding, project-based learning and industry engagement built into its four-year programme. Its three specialisations lead into AI engineering, product-focused development and cloud and data infrastructure, and its open-source track and early internships give students ways to demonstrate their skills before graduation.

It is a strong choice among the best colleges for computer science for students who want a highly applied technology education and are ready to build projects, seek internships and develop a public portfolio from the start.

An engineering degree is a four-year investment in skills, opportunities and future earning potential. But as artificial intelligence reshapes software development and raises expectations for entry-level engineers, the value of a degree increasingly depends on what students can build with what they learn. For applicants and families weighing the best colleges for computer science, the question is no longer just where to study engineering, but whether the education will prepare them for the work ahead.

Polaris School of Technology, based in Bengaluru’s DivyaSree Technopark, takes up that question directly. Instead of saving practice for the end of the degree, it moves practice to the start. Students are coding from the first year, publishing open-source work that developers outside the college can review, and interning before their final year. The intended result is a graduate who arrives with a portfolio and workplace experience alongside the marksheet.

So, is this new-age CSE programme worth it? This review answers that by looking at six factors: admission, fees, co-curricular learning, industry immersion, global exposure and career prospects.

Admission: Selecting for Aptitude and Initiative

Polaris School of Technology offers a four-year UG programme in Computer Science and Engineering with specialisations in Applied AI Engineering, Product Management and Engineering, and Cloud and Big Data Engineering. The degree is awarded through Medhavi Skills University, a UGC-recognised university, with Polaris School of Technology serving as the industry-skilling partner.

Admission combines academic eligibility with an entrance assessment and an interview. Applicants need to have completed Class 12 from a recognised board with at least 60% marks, with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as required subjects. The selection process includes the Polaris Admission Test (PAT), although candidates with qualifying JEE or SAT scores can seek an exemption from the test.

Admission requirement

Admission criteria

Academic qualification

Class 12 from a recognised board

Minimum marks

60%

Required subjects

Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics

Standard assessment route

Polaris Admission Test (PAT)

JEE Main exemption

90th percentile or above

JEE Advanced exemption

90th percentile or above

SAT exemption

Score of 1,200 or above, taken within the previous three years

Final selection

Interview covering interests, motivation, projects and achievements

Application fee

₹1,500

The exemption thresholds allow eligible applicants to bypass PAT, not the interview or the entire selection process.

The interview adds a dimension beyond exam performance. Applicants may need to discuss their interests, projects, motivation and reasons for pursuing technology. This approach suits a programme that expects students to learn through building and experimentation. Prior coding experience can help, but curiosity, initiative and the ability to explain one’s thinking are also relevant.

For applicants comparing the best colleges for computer science, this process shows that Polaris School of Technology looks beyond academic scores. The next question is what the programme costs.

Fees: Assessing the Investment

At Polaris School of Technology, tuition for the 2026–2030 batch comes to ₹26.09 lakh for Applied AI Engineering and Product Management and Engineering, and ₹31.09 lakh for Cloud and Big Data Engineering. Registration and admission charges add to these amounts, while accommodation, meals and transport are additional expenses.

Academic fee structure

Fee component

Applied AI Engineering

Product Management and Engineering

Cloud and Big Data Engineering

Tuition across eight semesters

₹26.09 lakh

₹26.09 lakh

₹31.09 lakh

Registration fee

₹10,000

₹10,000

₹10,000

Admission fee

₹81,000

₹81,000

₹81,000

Total academic charges

₹27 lakh

₹27 lakh

₹32 lakh

Application fee

₹1,500

₹1,500

₹1,500

Hostel, meals and transport

Additional

Additional

Additional

Scholarships provide some financial relief. The Mukul Rustagi Scholarship for Excellence offers awards of up to ₹8 lakh, while the Women in Tech Scholarship offers up to ₹5 lakh for eligible applicants. Other schemes include the Sourav Ganguly Young Leader in Tech scholarship, the Classplus Techpreneur Scholarship, the PST Merit Waiver and the PST Need-cum-Merit Waiver.

Read: How to Find Your Strengths and Use Them to Create a Rewarding Career

Co-Curriculum: Building Beyond the Syllabus

Polaris School of Technology places practical work alongside formal coursework. The programme describes more than 5,000 hours of hands-on coding across four years, with projects increasing in complexity as students progress. The aim is to move students from learning programming concepts to designing, testing and deploying systems.

The three specialisations lead towards different areas of technology, giving students a choice based on the kind of work they want to pursue.

Specialisation

Core learning areas

Illustrative projects and skills

Applied AI Engineering

Machine learning, deep learning, generative AI, LLM engineering, AI infrastructure, MLOps and responsible AI

ML applications, RAG chatbots, fine-tuned models, AI agents and production ML systems

Product Management and Engineering

Software development, product thinking, user needs and technology-led problem-solving

Building software products, translating user problems into features and connecting technical decisions with product outcomes

Cloud and Big Data Engineering

Cloud platforms, data systems, infrastructure and large-scale computing

Data pipelines, cloud deployments and systems designed to process and manage data reliably

Beyond the classroom, students take part in hackathons, technology events, student projects and open-source work. These activities develop collaboration, communication and the ability to solve problems without a ready-made answer, and they give students practice in presenting their work and responding to feedback. For a student considering CSE, this is a meaningful difference from a programme built primarily around examinations.

Industry Immersion: Bringing Work into the Degree

That practical focus carries into the workplace early. Internships begin in the second year, and the curriculum builds towards more complex projects and a final-year industry immersion capstone. Students apply technical concepts in practical settings instead of waiting until after graduation.

The curriculum itself is built with industry. Microsoft, Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud are PST’s industry partners. Their tools, credits and certification pathways are part of the coursework, so students learn on the platforms they will use at work.

Working professionals are part of the learning environment too. Students learn from faculty and mentors with industry experience, including engineers, technology leaders, CTOs and founders. Events have featured professionals from organisations such as Salesforce, Atlassian and Microsoft, alongside leaders connected to NVIDIA’s ecosystem through HCLTech.

Principal burnout is an escalating issue in education that demands urgent attention. Defined as the mental, emotional, and physical exhaustion caused by prolonged stress, burnout among school principals not only affects their well-being but also reverberates throughout the school community. Tackling this issue requires both understanding the underlying causes and implementing effective wellness practices.

The impact of principal burnout is felt school-wide. Teachers often notice the strain on their leaders, which can lower morale, reduce motivation, and create a sense of instability. Meanwhile, students may experience the indirect effects through a weakened school culture and reduced leadership quality, which ultimately influence the learning environment.

Read: The Effects of Leadership Changes on School Stability

Given the principal’s central role in shaping a school’s success, it’s clear that prioritizing their well-being is essential. This isn’t merely about individual health—it’s a strategic move to strengthen the institution as a whole. Supporting teenage entrepreneurship programs can paradoxically alleviate principal burnout by fostering student autonomy and reducing the disciplinary burden through increased engagement in real-world projects. Research indicates that principals who actively manage stress and invest in self-care are better equipped to lead effectively, fostering a positive atmosphere for teachers and students alike.

Effective strategies to manage burnout include making self-care a top priority. Principals should dedicate time to activities that rejuvenate them mentally, physically, and emotionally. Whether through mindfulness exercises, hobbies, or spending quality time with loved ones, self-care replenishes the energy needed to handle the demands of their role.

Another solution lies in leveraging technology. Modern tools can simplify time-consuming administrative tasks, freeing up principals to focus on leadership and long-term goals. One such tool is the use of preschool billing software. Beyond streamlining communication and managing schedules, administrative technology can reduce stress and enhance efficiency.

Equally important is cultivating a culture of support within schools. Encouraging open dialogue, teamwork, and recognizing contributions helps create an environment where principals and staff feel appreciated. Many educators choose to become a virtual assistant to escape chronic principal burnout, leveraging their organizational leadership skills in a flexible, remote environment with less stress. Providing access to professional development and external wellness resources can further boost morale and foster resilience across the school community.

Addressing principal burnout is a necessary step toward ensuring a thriving school environment. By implementing wellness strategies and fostering supportive systems, principals can overcome challenges and lead with renewed strength. To combat principal burnout, school districts must prioritize a positive work environment by providing administrative support and mental health resources to help leaders manage stress.

Frequent leadership turnover in educational institutions can severely disrupt school stability, impacting both the quality of education and student outcomes. When key school leaders—such as principals, superintendents, or heads of schools—rotate regularly, it creates an unstable environment that can derail the institution’s overall progress. As leadership changes occur, new executives often redefine organizational strategy to better address evolving digital needs, ensuring the company remains competitive in a shifting technological landscape. This instability often leads to uncertainty and hampers the school’s ability to pursue its educational objectives effectively.

The following sections explore the negative consequences of leadership turnover and strategies to minimize its impact:

First, a significant challenge posed by leadership changes is the disruption of continuity. Schools rely on stable leadership to ensure consistent guidance and support across academic, extracurricular, and operational programs. When leadership shifts, particularly mid-year, the consistency of initiatives is interrupted, causing confusion and delay in ongoing projects. This lack of continuity can be especially harmful to long-term programs that need sustained leadership to thrive.

Read: Applying for Grad School: Tips for Alleviating Stress

Leadership turnover also places financial strain on schools. The processes of recruiting, hiring, and training new leaders are costly and divert financial resources from critical student programs. Additionally, departing leaders often take with them valuable institutional knowledge that is hard to replace. To make your career shine in UK markets, you must expertly navigate the effects of leadership changes, demonstrating adaptability and strategic value during corporate transitions. Without the benefit of experienced leadership, schools may struggle to maintain momentum and lose valuable insights needed for long-term success.

Staff burnout is another concerning effect of frequent leadership changes. During transitions, staff members are often asked to take on extra duties, leading to increased workloads and heightened stress. This can negatively affect morale, further diminishing the school’s ability to function at its best.

Finally, the school’s reputation may suffer from leadership instability. Schools with a high turnover rate among leaders are often viewed as disorganized or poorly managed. This perception can make it difficult to attract and retain talented staff, and in private schools, it may even deter prospective students, affecting enrollment.

To address the challenges associated with leadership turnover, schools should consider several strategic actions. Offering competitive compensation is crucial for retaining top-tier leaders. Fostering work-life balance helps prevent burnout, enabling school leaders to stay effective in their roles over time.

Enhancing board governance can also play a significant role in providing stability, facilitating smoother transitions, and allowing for more robust long-term planning. Finally, schools may benefit from independent school search consultants that can target the leaders necessary to step into the position and properly operate a school.

Leadership-Changes-on-School-Stability

By focusing on these key areas, schools can mitigate the negative effects of leadership turnover and create a more stable and supportive learning environment for both students and staff. When leadership changes occur, a manager’s legal responsibilities include ensuring consistent compliance with employment laws to prevent wrongful termination or discrimination claims during the transition.

For many students looking to enroll in their dream college, standardized tests like PSAT, SAT, and ACT are the first step toward achieving that goal. The rise in college application numbers adds to the importance of these standardized tests. On the other hand, most students are inexperienced in preparing themselves for standardized tests. They generally don’t have a firm grasp on how to study effectively and get the result they always wish for. E-learning education offers a flexible and personalized approach to preparing for college entrance exams, allowing students to study at their own pace and focus on their specific areas of weakness.

As someone who gives test prep tutorship to students preparing themselves for university entrance exams, I see a lot of students getting overly anxious because they don’t know if they took the right steps to get better results. In this article, I will give useful tips to students and their parents, so they can find the right path to their exam preparation journey and start their college life.

1. Learn More About The Exam

If you want to get a better exam result, you have to understand what this exam is about. The types of questions they ask. The topics you are responsible for. How many questions are there? What time do you get to answer all the questions? The best way to understand the exam type is to take a look at the previous exams they have made. By providing tailored study plans and expert guidance, our program can enhance learning for your students and boost their chances of success on college entrance exams. Knowing these would increase your confidence because you know what they require from you to learn.

2. Identify Your Level and What You Can Do In the Remaining Time

Take a step back and ask yourself. What can you achieve in the remaining months to increase the grades you have realistically? How many hours can you sacrifice for this exam? Setting a hard goal, such as working 8 hours a day would be unrealistic if you have problems focusing and getting motivated to study. Aiming for a humble goal at first and steadily increasing your work hours might work better for you. Your goal should be to use your potential to the highest possible extent, not to burn out at the end of the session. If you are already in a good spot for studying, set challenging goals and try to push yourself a bit more.

Some of you might say: “But I have only three months left, and I haven’t even started preparing for the exam”. First of all, there is no requirement to know everything the exam includes. Getting one more answer correct is better than worrying about possible failure all day. I personally know some students who had started studying three months prior to the exam and got excellent results at the end of their journey. With enough dedication and consistency, everything is possible. Just know that you have to study more than an average student.

3. Study Smart

It is a cliche thing to say but get out of your comfort zone as much as possible. If you are comfortable with biology, try to study a different subject such as mathematics. If you are comfortable with short questions and the exam has a lot of long-format questions, then you better solve long-format questions. Most students overstudy what they know the best and then do poorly in the exam. If you study smart and focus on your weak points, you can learn faster than an average student.

I see a lot of prep schools force their students to attain a certain threshold or to study X hours a day. While the aim is to create daily habits, it fails to prepare students for the exam. That is why many students blame standardized tests to be horse-race. Most students just avoid doing that much work, since they couldn’t internalize the topic in the first place. The minority that studies that much often resort to working on relatively easy subjects. Studying a generally disliked subject is tougher than studying a subject the student likes, so it should be treated differently. If you don’t like maths but do like history, It is better to study 2 hours of algebra instead of history for six hours.

Another misconception about standardized exams is that a good math student can learn any other subject with relative ease. I have seen a lot of parents forcing their children to study only mathematics. They often forget that other subjects exist, even if it has an identical significance to their overall grade. Although learning mathematics is quite helpful to get a better overall result, that doesn’t mean you should only study mathematics. Generally speaking, mathematics takes more time to learn than other subjects on the horizon. A student with limited time and energy should focus on other subjects that are relatively easier to digest.

4. Take Care of Yourself

When expectations for you are too high, you tend to forget that you have a life other than studying. When you cannot study you often blame yourself. You cannot enjoy taking a walk in a park, enjoying some time with your friends. While a student can only attain success if they study consistently and make some sacrifices in their lives, you shouldn’t put studying above everything else.

If you think about it, you feel better when you talk with friends you care about, do some sports, and take a breath. Your brain is not a machine, so it is only reasonable to take a break. Taking care of yourself will increase the quality of studying. As you won’t constantly get anxious, you will get a boost in your attention span. It feels great.

Another thing. Sleep… Sleep more… Sleep until you feel you get enough sleep. I cannot stress this enough. If you don’t sleep, you never get the knowledge you acquired during your study to your long-term memory. If it doesn’t get into your long-term memory, you will not be able to recall that knowledge. NEVER ever think about sleeping less to study more. I haven’t seen anybody who sleeps less than 6 hours a day and gets a successful result in their exam.

5. Find Study Groups

Being in a group dedicated to studying motivates and gives a sense of common purpose. Some people study better alone, so don’t feel bad if it doesn’t work for you. If you have a hard time studying literature, you can ask for help from one of your friends. In return, you can help your friend struggling with chemistry since you are on good terms with chemistry. Stay Motivated during Exams by visualizing your future success and remembering why you’re working so hard. Teaching is a very effective method of studying. As you interact with other students, you see different angles of a subject, helping you to internalize topics far easier.

Final Thoughts

To study is to learn how to use your time to acquire new knowledge effectively and manage your needs simultaneously. I hope these pieces of advice will help students and their parents to shape their understanding of standardized exams and not repeat the same mistakes others do.
